Weddings in Palma de Mallorca

Palma is the island's only true city wedding: Gothic architecture, courtyard palaces, rooftop terraces over the cathedral and enough hotel rooms that no guest needs a transfer.

The case for a city wedding

Everything is walkable. Guests stay in the old town or Portixol, the ceremony happens in a historic patio or a private palace courtyard, and dinner moves to a rooftop or harbour-front restaurant. No shuttles, no rural curfew logistics, and the airport is 15 minutes away.

Palma also works well for smaller weddings of 30–80 guests, where a rural finca would feel oversized and over-produced.

Venue types in the city

Three formats dominate: restored old-town palaces with columned patios, design hotels with rooftop terraces, and the estates just above the city in Son Vida and Establiments that combine a garden setting with a ten-minute drive to the centre.

City venues usually come with in-house catering and a hard sound curfew — check both before you fall in love with a courtyard.

Vendors in and around Palma

The densest supplier network on the island sits in Palma: planners, caterers, florists, hair and makeup artists and photographers, most of them working in German, English and Spanish. Book beauty artists early — they travel island-wide on Saturdays and fill up first.
